About this blog

Hey everyone!

If you’ve found this blog, it’s likely you were searching for improvement in your mouse control or aiming mechanics or maybe you just stumbled upon this. Either way, welcome to the blog and I hope that you leave with a different understanding or a unique perspective on aiming and FPS mechanics as a whole.

The purpose of this blog is to share my personal findings and explorations in aiming mechanics, mouse control and everything else FPS related. The primary focus is to explore the intricacies of aiming mechanics in the same fashion that people have done for traditional sports for decades.

Over the many years of my gaming, I’ve obsessed over all the different dimensions of FPS mechanics. I would analyze videos of pros swiping their mice and check various photos to try to emulate it.

I watched all the mouse and mousepad review videos and personally spent thousands of dollars on different types of mice just so I could try different shapes and sensors.

I knew that buying a mouse or copying a pro’s grip would not make me any better at the games I was playing. Yet, I was so curious – often to the detriment of me playing much worse for a period as I acclimated to whatever new settings I was using. A bulk of my aim training hours actually comes from trying to speedrun the adaptation process.

Honestly, overthinking to this degree is probably bad but it’s lead to me gaining a vastly comprehensive view on mouse mechanics and aim. As such, I hope that my views I share here on Mouse Meta will provide you with new and unique ways to think about FPS mechanics.
